Mt. Zion won third with St. Anthony finishing fourth.<\/p>\n<div>In pool play St. Anthony defeated Shelbyville 25-14, 25-17, \u00a0defeated Mt. Zion 27-25, 25-21 and Father McGivney 25-15, 25-22.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In the other pool Newton defeated Unity 25-18, 25-13 and Nashville 23-25, 25-18, 15-11 before falling to Waterloo.\u00a0 22-25.\u00a0 \u00a0 2\u201325.<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the crossover semi-final Newton defeated <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">St Anthony 25-15, 35-33.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>St. Anthony then lost to Mt. Zion 20-25, 22-25 in the 3rd place contest<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The championship Newton fell to Water<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">loo 25-19, 22-25, 9-15.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Newton now has a record of 16-2.\u00a0 \u00a0St. Anthony is 13-3 on the season.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Effingham and Teutopolis both played in the Charleston Tournament.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">In Pool Play Teutopolis defeated Charlseton 13-25,\u00a0 27-25,\u00a0 15-5, \u00a0Highland\u00a0 25-21,\u00a0 28-26, and Decatur MacArthur 25-18,\u00a0 25-11, in pool A<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">In Pool B Effingham lost to Mattoon 20-25, 22-25, beat Carbondale 25-16, 25-19, and lost to Centralia 21-25, 19-25.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">In the 5th place game Effingham defeated Charleston 29-27, 25-13 to finish the day 2-2, and the Hearts are 9-7 on the season.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Highland defeated Mattoon for third.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Teutopoils defeated Centralia\u00a0 26-24\u00a0 25-21 in the Championship match. The shoes are now 14-4 on the season.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Brittany Swingler was named All-tournament and tournament MVP and Elise Pals was also named to the All-tournament team.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>Vandalia Tournament Results<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>North Clay lost to Fairfield 10-25, 17-25, and Carlyle 20-25 , 11-25, before picking up a win over Vandalia 25-19, 25-15. They lost to South Central 22-25,\u00a0 17-25 in the 5th place contest.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Along with their win over North Clay South Central also defeated Cowden-Herrick\/Beecher City 25-8, 25-11. The Cougars suffered losses to Salem 11-25, 21-25, and Hillsboro 21-25, 22-25, as they finished 5th in the tournament.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Along with CHBC&#8217;s loss to South Central the Bobcats suffered losses to Hillsboro 10-25, 11-25, and Salem 21-25, 8-25 in pool play. They than lost to Vandalia in the Seventh place match 21-25, 23-25.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Cumberland was in the North Mac\/New Berlin Tournament over the weekend.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Lady Pirates opened up play with a wins over Calvary 25-12, 23-25, 15-7 and North Mac 25-13, 23-25, 15-12. However their tournament end with losses to Greenfield 19-25, 13-25, New Berlin 15-25, 20-25, and Liberty 26-28, 25-17.
