Hutson, 36, Teutopolis, at approximately 1:18 P.M. Sunday for Grooming, a Class 4 felony.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest followed an investigation into online communications involving an individual believed to be under 17 years of age. Hutson was taken into custody after arriving at a location for the purpose of meeting the individual.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProtecting children from those who seek to exploit them is one of our highest priorities,\u201d said Chief Kurt Davis. \u201cWe take these types of allegations extremely seriously, and our officers will continue to thoroughly investigate information brought to our attention and take appropriate action when the evidence supports criminal charges. We encourage anyone who has information regarding the exploitation or grooming of a child to report it to law enforcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This investigation remains ongoing, and detectives continue to follow leads and gather information. Anyone who may have information related to this case, including anyone who believes they or someone they know may have been contacted or targeted by the suspect, is encouraged to contact the Effingham Police Department at 217-347-0774.
