{"id":46503,"date":"2026-09-11T09:25:38","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T14:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thexradio.com\/news\/?p=46503"},"modified":"2026-09-11T09:25:38","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T14:25:38","slug":"county-highway-department-plans-road-surface-treatments-on-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thexradio.com\/news\/local-news\/46503-county-highway-department-plans-road-surface-treatments-on-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"County Highway Department Plans Road Surface Treatments on Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-right\"><a href=\"javascript: window.print()\" class=\"pdfprnt-button pdfprnt-button-print\" target=\"_self\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thexradio.com\/news\/wp-content\/plugins\/pdf-print\/images\/print.png\" alt=\"image_print\" title=\"Print Content\" \/><span class=\"pdfprnt-button-title pdfprnt-button-print-title\">Print<\/span><\/a><\/div><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Effingham County Highway Department will be performing surface treatments on Monday September 14, 2026 (weather dependent) at the following locations:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>1000<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Street (CH 17), from 1600<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Ave (Moccasin Rd) south to 1500<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Ave (North Shore Dr)\n<ul>\n<li>The roadway will be reduced to one lane with flaggers controlling traffic during this work<\/li>\n<li>Work will begin at roughly 8:30 am and will take roughly an hour to complete<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>1000<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Street (CH 6), from 1600<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Ave (Moccasin Rd) North to Rt 32\/33\n<ul>\n<li>The roadway will be reduced to one lane, with south bound traffic using the road only.<\/li>\n<li>North bound traffic will be directed down 1600<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Ave to Nazarene Rd.<\/li>\n<li>Work will begin once the south Section is completed (assume work to begin about 9:30 am and last about an hour)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Evergreen Ave (CH 10), from Outer Belt West to Nazarene Road\n<ul>\n<li>This road will be closed to traffic while work is being completed.<\/li>\n<li>Anticipated road closure to be from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note there may be some wait times during these operations, so please plan accordingly and allow for some extra time when traveling these roads.
