The Championship features nearly 3,000 athletes participating in team and individual qualifying events, culminating in a final Championship Round to award the top 10 male and female athletes and top five teams in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Teams from the area include Altamont, Beecher City, Cumberland, Dieterich, Effingham, St. Elmo, South Central, Stewardson-Strasburg and Teutopolis.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday and Thursday, July 8-9: Check-in and Practice Days. Thursday features special CHAMPJAM festivities including live radio, live music, games, an Annie Oakley competition with prizes from Do-All Outdoors, and free ice cream courtesy of the Lansing Sports Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Friday, July 10: Team Championship Qualifier \u2013 236 high school teams of 5 athletes will shoot 500 targets (100 targets each) and the top 80 teams by score will qualify to compete in Sunday&#8217;s Team Championship Round.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, July 11: Individual Championship Qualifier \u20131,800 high school athletes representing 458 schools from across America will each shoot 100 targets, and the top 400 scores will qualify to compete in Sunday&#8217;s Individual Championship Round.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday, July 12: Championship Rounds. Qualifying athletes &amp; teams will compete for the title of National Champion! The Team Championship Round is held in the morning, followed by the Individual Championship Round.<\/p>\n<p>Over 40,000 student athletes participated on over 2,000 high school teams in USA High School Clay Target League programs this spring.
