Since joining the firm, he has continued to expand his role and areas of specialization, earning his CPA designation in 2023 and being promoted to manager in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In his role at Kemper, Clayton specializes in state and local tax (SALT), multistate corporate and partnership taxation, state income and franchise tax, and individual tax planning and preparation. He also serves as a firmwide resource for SALT, helping clients and colleagues address complex tax questions with practical guidance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe knew immediately that he had the potential to be a key employee in our office,\u201d said Stacey Mette, CPA, Partner-in-Charge of Kemper CPA Group\u2019s Effingham office. \u201cHe is an extremely driven individual who has taken on leadership roles in our office.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clayton earned dual degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from MacMurray College.
