The sculpture represents how the country has joined cultures and united together for the pursuit of freedom and liberty. The figure represents unity, freedom, and diversity with respect paid to the statue that welcomes visitors to the United States \u2013 The Statue of Liberty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Effingham Performance is excited to be a part of this state-wide initiative, celebrating America\u2019s 250th anniversary through the power of the arts,\u201d said Kim Jansen, executive director of The EPC. \u201cThe artwork created by Drew will serve as a vibrant focal point for our patrons, our visitors, and our community to gather and reflect on this historic national milestone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project was made possible through Illinois\u2019 America 250 Celebration public art grant program. The EPC project will be one of 22 projects throughout the state focusing on this message and this celebration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The unveiling of the sculpture will be held on July 1 at 2 pm in The EPC\u2019s courtyard.
