Ron Lorilla officiating. Burial will follow at St. Clare Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n<p>Ervin L. Ballinger was born on Wednesday, January 23, 1946 in Trowbridge, IL to Henry and Opal (Shadow) Ballinger. He married Linda S. (Sparling) Ballinger on January 23, 1964 at St. Mary\u2019s Catholic Church, Shumway. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2009. He was a retired mechanic. Ervin was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, Altamont.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by; his son, Ryan Ballinger, St. Peter; daughters, Rhoda and Rena (Jeremy) Myers, Altamont, Rebecca (Mike) Pontious, Altamont and Roberta Ballinger; grandchildren, RayLynn and Rosalie Myers, Lily, Remington, River, Skylar, and Dusty Pontious, Liah Ballinger, Kolten Ballinger, Brittany (Eric) Loy, Jadlin Ballinger and Jacob Miller; and great grandchildren, Henry, Harper, and Hallie Loy.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by; his parents; sons, Richard Ballinger and Ricky Lee Ballinger in infancy; brothers, Dale (Polly) Ballinger, Marion \u2018Mick\u2019 (Verna Jean) Ballinger, Raymond (Joyce) Ballinger, Gene \u2018Jess\u2019 (Ruby) Ballinger, and Henry (Lois) Ballinger, Jr; sister, Delores (Calvin) Mueller.<\/p>\n<p>Online condolences may be expressed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.giesekingfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">by clicking here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ervin died the night of Wednesday, March 5<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":4090,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[21],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4080","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-obits"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 -
