FARINA — South Central held a 2-0 lead through the first five innings before Brownstown\/St. Elmo struck with two in the sixth to tie the score.<\/p>\n

The Bombers moved into a 5-2 lead in the top of the seventh. South Central came back with two runs in the bottom of the frame only to fall short by a 5-4 count Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Brownstown\/St. Elmo finished with six hits in the contest led by Jayce Gillespie with three singles and an RBI. Zayden Gillespie and Nolan Wilhour had a double each. Logan Lach and Calvin Voelker finished with an RBI each.<\/p>\n

Jayce Gillespie picked up the win on the mound. He went six innings, giving up three runs on four hits. He walked five and struck out nine. Logan Lach came on for the save in the final inning, allowing one hit and one walk.<\/p>\n

The Hatchets were led in the hitting attack by Noah Pruemer with three singles and three RBI, Seth Rincker with three singles and two RBI, Carter Verdeyen with a double and two RBI, Derk Friese with a single and an RBI and Parker Duncan with an RBI.<\/p>\n

Duncan went 4.1 innings for the mound victory. He struck out nine and gave up five walks.<\/p>\n

Neoga had a 10-hit attack. Garrett Ballinger had a single, double and an RBI while Malik Coy added two singles and three RBI. Braylon Sparrow finished with a double and two RBI. Grady Haarman and Callen Lanham had two singles each. Mason Platz finished with a single and an RBI.<\/p>\n

Coy went five innings on the mound. He gave up three runs on four hits, two walks and struck out seven for the win.<\/p>\n

Edwards County then scored what proved to be the winning run in the fifth.<\/p>\n

Newton had three hits, all singles by David Ferguson, Dominic Baltzell and Maddox Horner.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs trailed Robinson 2-1 after the first inning but tied in the third. St. Anthony then tallied four runs in the fifth and ended the game via the 10-run rule in the sixth with six runs.<\/p>\n

St. Anthony had nine hits led by Nick Roewe with a double and three RBI, Mikey Fearday with a double and an RBI, Mason Storm with two singles and two RBI, James Trupiano with two singles, Curtis Tingley with a single and three RBI, Owen Wrigley with a single and an RBI and Andrew Wagner and Jonny Gannaway with an RBI each.<\/p>\n
