The show included 87 submissions from students, staff, faculty and artists throughout the Lake Land community.<\/p>\n<p>All submissions were displayed in the Luther Student Center on campus. The top-voted pieces received awards during a closing ceremony, where four awards&#8230;3D Art, 2D Art, Written Art, and Audio\/Visual Art&#8230;were presented with separate recognitions for students, staff and community submissions in each category.<\/p>\n<p>The student award winners were Kyra Hazelton of Effingham, who received the 2D Award for &#8220;Siske&#8221; and the Written Award for &#8220;Well, Shoot&#8221; and Andi Harrison of Martinsville, who received the 3D Award for &#8220;Iridescent Roses.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For Lake Land College staff awards, the 3D Award was presented to Dean for Workforce Solutions and Community Education Chris Strohl of Neoga for &#8220;Clara&#8217;s Heart.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Community 3D Award went to Wesley McCoy of Neoga for &#8220;Handcrafted Intarsia Lion.&#8221; Roxy Shelton of Strasburg received the Community Written Award for &#8220;Reality Closing to Open Another.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The student, staff and community winners of the 2026 Lake Land College Spring Art Show.
