They went through four innings without scoring before Richland County moved ahead with a run in the top of the sixth.<\/p>\n<p>But the Bulldogs came roaring back with five runs in the bottom of the sixth to move ahead 7-3.<\/p>\n<p>Richland County rallied with two runs in the seventh only to fall short.<\/p>\n<p>St. Anthony finished with six hits led by Will Bierman with a double and Henry Brent and Xander Beals with a single and an RBI each.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs committed seven errors in the contest.<\/p>\n<p>Freddie Jansen came on in the fifth to toss two innings, allowing one run on three hits, two walks and striking out one for the win on the mound.<\/p>\n<p>Richland County finished with five hits and committed five errors.<\/p>\n<p>In the junior varsity game, St. Anthony was a 12-7 winner.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs moved into a 7-3 opening inning lead. They finished with nine hits led by Curtis Tingley with two singles, a double and two RBI while Mason Karolewicz had a single, double and one RBI. Cumberland pulled within 2-1 in the second. But the Shoes took control from that point on, scoring two in the third seven in the fourth and ending the game with one in the fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Kreke had a double, home run and two RBI for the Shoes. Austin Borries added three singles and drove in two runs while Davin Worman and Michael Habing had a double each. T-town improved to 2-1 on the season.<\/p>\n<p>Caleb Deters went the five innings on the mound, giving up one run on four hits, no walks and struck out five.<\/p>\n<p>Cumberland was led by Adyn Heuerman with a single and a solo home run. Grady Jones and Lance Lock had the other two hits, singles. A wild pitch followed and Newton held a 4-2 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Traub hit a solo home run to centerfield in the top of the seventh but that&#8217;s all the closer the Hearts could come. Traub finished with the home run, a single and the RBI. Tucker finished with a single, double and an RBI and Carter Braddy with two singles.<\/p>\n<p>Carson Barthelme earned the win for the Eagles. Lebanon came back to take a 3-2 lead in the third. The next two innings were scoreless before BSE broke loose with four runs in the top of the sixth and tacked on a final run in the seventh.<\/p>\n<p>Lebanon made a comeback attempt with two runs in the bottom of the seventh but fell short.<\/p>\n<p>Zayden Gillespie picked up the pitching victory. He went five innings, allowing three runs, one earned, five hits, one walk while striking out seven.<\/p>\n<p>Jayce Gillespie led the way in hitting with a double, triple and two RBI. Logan Lach added two singles and an RBI while Gillespie had two singles. Shelbyville scored two runs in the third and fourth innings and one in the fifth to lead 6-1. Dieterich came back with a run in the bottom of the sixth and almost pulled it out with three runs in the bottom of the seventh.<\/p>\n<p>Dieterich had eight hits but committed five errors. Dom Ashley and Carson Baxter led in hitting for the Maroons with two singles and an RBI each.
