MOUNT ZION — Effingham and Newton were the local squads competing at the Apollo Conference Indoor boys and girls track meets at Mount Zion High School Saturday.<\/p>\n

In the girls meet, Camdyn Burgholzer was the champion for Effingham in the high jump at 1.58 meters.<\/p>\n

The Hearts 4×400 relay team of Kirk, Spicer, Wade and Summers placed second in 4:28.92.<\/p>\n

Newton’s 4×200 relay team of Schackmann, Fehrenbacher, McVicar and Schafer won in 1:53.69 minutes. The 4×800 relay team finished second in 11:35.69. Geier, Bergbower, Vogt and Zavala were the team members.<\/p>\n

Stella Schackmann was second in the 60 meter run in 27.91 seconds.<\/p>\n

Emma Schumacher finished second in the pole vault a 2.35 meters.<\/p>\n

In the boys meet, Effingham’s Cameron Moon took second in the high jump at 1.80 meters.<\/p>\n

The Hearts’ 4×200 relay team of B. Osborne, B. Kade, K. Richmond and S. Simoni finished second in 1:53.69.<\/p>\n
