She married Leroy William Westendorf on November 28, 1953, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dieterich, Illinois.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on November 29, 2023.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Bertha May was a homemaker, wife and mother.&nbsp; She also did childcare and was a cake decorator.&nbsp; She was a member of the Saint Isidore Parish.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Bertha May is survived by:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 2em;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Children \u2013 Gail (wife Linda) Westendorf of Decatur, Illinois; Mary Wilson of Highland, Illinois; and Janet (husband Maurice) Kocher of St Jacob, Illinois.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 2em;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; background-color: initial;\">Grandchildren -Brian (wife Kristi) Westendorf, Sean (husband Brian) James, Teri Kallal, Michael (wife Lauren) Volk, Justin (wife Kelley) Kocher, Kate (husband Gary) Spencer, Joyce (husband Joe) Thole, and Karen (husband Brandon) Hopp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 2em;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Great Grandchildren \u2013 Luke and Evan Westendorf, Nathan and Brayden James, Alyssa, Guinevere, Amber, Benjamin, Vivienne, and Scarlett Volk, Hannah, Gavin and Noah Kocher, Ryan Spencer, Charlotte and Evelyn Thole, and Ethan Hopp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 2em;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Sister \u2013 Lois (Jerry) Stout of Chula, Missouri<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Bertha May was preceded in death by her mother, son-in-law Richard Wilson, siblings Robert Green, Nellie Alvis and Thelma Taylor.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bertha died the afternoon of Thursday, February 27<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":4001,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[21],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3266","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-obits"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.7 -
