Effingham High School boys basketball, girls basketball and wrestling all-conference teams were named.<\/p>\n

The Hearts girls team captured the Apollo Conference regular season championship this year with a perfect 10-0 record followed by Mahomet-Seymour 7-3, Mount Zion 6-4, Taylorville 5-5, Mattoon 2-8 and Charleston 0-10.<\/p>\n

Named to the Apollo Conference First Team were Effingham’s Averie Wolfe and Alyssa Martin, Mount Zion’s Gabby Wisher, Mattoon’s Ava Larson and Taylorville’s Grace Rogers.<\/p>\n

Named to the Second Team were Effingham’s Tessa Raddatz, Mount Zion’s Ava Anderson and Maddie Austin and Mahomet-Seymour’s Hannah Martin and Keeley Miller.<\/p>\n

Mahomet-Seymour won the boys Apollo Conference regular season championship with a 10-0 record followed by Taylorville 6-4,\u00a0 Mattoon 5-5, Mount Zion 5-5, Effingham 4-6 and Charleston 0-19.<\/p>\n

Named to the First Team were Jackson Bohm (Mahomet-Seymour), Brock Brown (Taylorville), Lincoln Hayes (Mattoon), Tyler Oakley (Charleston) and Paxson O’Malley (Mahomet-Seymour).<\/p>\n

Named to the Second Team were Effingham’s Jenner Pals, Mount Zion’s Connor Cuddy, Mattoon’s Tyler Haacke, Mahomet-Seymour’s Malachi Nichols and Taylorville’s Blake Ladage.<\/p>\n

The Apollo All-Conference wrestling teams were named.<\/p>\n

Effingham’s Jonah LeDuc 106, freshman, 33-13, State Qualifier, 4-1 Apollo; Branden Stewart, 113, sophomore, 26-14, 3-2 Apollo and Jeremiah Lorton 285, senior, 4010, State qualifier, 3-2 Apollo were named to the Second Team.<\/p>\n
