Match 7 was claimed by Windsor over Stewardson-Strasburg and Match 8 went to St. Elmo\/Brownstown over North Clay.<\/p>\n<p>In Match 9 in consolation bracket play, Stew-Stras defeated Neoga and in Match 10, Sigel St. Michael won over North Clay.<\/p>\n<p>In winner bracket play, South Central defeated Windsor in Match 11 and Match 12 went to Cumberland over St. Elmo\/Brownstown.<\/p>\n<p>In the consolation championship, Stew-Stras defeated Sigel St. Michael.<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to St. Elmo\/Brownstown over Windsor.<\/p>\n<p>The championship was claimed by Cumberland over South Central.<\/p>\n<p>No scores were reported for any of these matches.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>At St. Anthony<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Teutopolis traveled to Effingham St. Anthony Friday evening and won the seventh-grade match, 25-10, 25-15.<\/p>\n<p>In eighth-grade play, the Bullpups lost the opener 24-26 but came back with 25-22, 25-12 victories for the mach.<\/p>\n<p>The two teams spit C matches. T-town won 25-18 and St. Anthony won 25-20.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>At Neoga<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>South Central came to town and captured both seventh- and eighth-grade victories over Neoga Friday evening.<\/p>\n<p>South Central won the seventh-grade match, 25-20, 25-9. Neoga dropped to 0-2.<\/p>\n<p>In eigthh-grade play, South Central won 25-15, 25-23.<\/p>\n<p>Neoga&#8217;s eighth-grade also dropped to 0-2.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>At Patoka<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>North Clay handed Patoka losses in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Friday.<\/p>\n<p>North Clay captured the seventh-grade match. The team lost the opening set 26-24 but came back with 25-11, 15-10 scores for the victory.<\/p>\n<p>In eighth-grade play, North Clay was a 25-18, 25-16 winner.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>At Newton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jasper County competed in the LEIC Eighth-Grade Tournament Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Jasper County defeated Marshal, 25-8, 25-20 and Paris Mayo 25-10, 25-22.<\/p>\n<p>In the championship match, Lawrenceville claimed the 25-19, 25-15 victory. Jasper County finished second and sports a 10-4 record.<\/p>\n<p>Jasper County was led by Briscoe with 12 total aces and 10 kills. Mulvey had 23 total assists. Jansen had 11 digs and Hall had five blocks.<\/p>\n<p>Jasper County is back in action today at Robinson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>At Newton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>LEIC Tournament<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jasper County &#8212;<\/strong> Briscoe, 12 aces, 10 kills, 2 blocks; Ginder, 8 aces, 4 digs; Mulvey, 7 aces, 4 kills, 23 assists, 3 digs, 2 blocks; Jansen, 3 aces, 1 kill, 11 digs; Ochs, 3 aces, 7 kills, 4 digs, 1 block; Starwalt, 1 ace; Wolf, 1 ace, 9 kills, 12 assists, 5 digs; Hall, 7 kills, 1 dig, 5 blocks; Linafelter, 4 kills, 1 dig<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WINDSOR &#8212; Cumberland claimed the championship of the National Trail Conference Seventh-Grade Volleyball Tournament Saturday.
