Claimants who collected UI benefits last year will need the 1099-G tax form to complete their state and federal tax returns. Also called \u2018Form 1099-G, Certain Government Payments,\u2019 this form is necessary for individuals who received state or UI benefits.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Claimants who opted to receive their 1099-G tax form electronically have received an email notification with instructions to access the form from their IDES account.\u00a0 Claimants who opted not to receive their 1099-G tax form electronically will receive a hard copy paper form via regular mail at the address on file with the Department.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>All claimants may also access their 1099-G tax form online by logging into their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/benefits.ides.illinois.gov\/Benefits\/profile\/responseHandlerAction.do?TAM_OP=login&amp;USERNAME=unauthenticated&amp;ERROR_CODE=0x00000000&amp;METHOD=GET&amp;URL=https%3A%2F%2Fbenefits.ides.illinois.gov%2FBenefits%2F&amp;REFERER=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/benefits.ides.illinois.gov\/Benefits\/profile\/responseHandlerAction.do?TAM_OP%3Dlogin%26USERNAME%3Dunauthenticated%26ERROR_CODE%3D0x00000000%26METHOD%3DGET%26URL%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fbenefits.ides.illinois.gov%252FBenefits%252F%26REFERER%3D&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1770845866415000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3caEfRPVRQEM99NKymWwy7\">IDES account<\/a>\u00a0or calling Tele-Serve at (312) 338-4337.\u00a0 The last seven years of 1099-G tax forms are also available via their online account.\u00a0 Please note that all IDES online accounts require ILogin verification.
