They still trailed Central A&amp;M by three going into the final quarter.<\/p>\n<p>But CHBC continued on with its run, outscoring Central A&amp;M 13-6 to pull out the 44-40 victory.<\/p>\n<p>In that final period, Bowlin connected for six points while Ethel Stuckemeyer added four and Ryleigh Sarver put in three.<\/p>\n<p>Bowlin hit double digits with 17 points on eight field goals and a free throw. Kelsey Niemerg and Allie Ruholl scored 10 points each. Ruholl hit eight field goals and was two of two at the line while Niemerg put in five baskets.<\/p>\n<p>In even scoring, the Shoes had three players with eight points each, Jersey Gaddis, Eva Mette and Anna Probst. Probst led the team in rebounds with four. Eva Mette and Allie Ruholl had three steals each. Newton then broke loose with a 24-5 run to lead 38-19 at halftime.<\/p>\n<p>Four players finished in double figures for the Eagles. Alani Bergbower led the way with eight field goals, two from three-point range, and one free throw for 19. Izzy Meinhart added 16 while Allie Hermann and Grace Schumacher tallied 11 each.<\/p>\n<p>Claire Probst led in rebounds with 10. Bergbower had six assists. Meinhart led in steals with four.<\/p>\n<p>Newton will travel to Marshall Wednesday for a makeup conference game.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles also claimed the junior varsity victory, 52-13. Layla Kuhl led in scoring with 11 points while Brooke Gentry and Ava Duncan added 10 each.
