The driver of the car, a 35-year-old man from Mattoon, was not injured and two female juvenile passengers also escaped injury.<\/p>\n<p>After Bellany was struck, with his body coming to rest in the left lane, the body was struck by a SUV driven by 26-year-old Tia Coleman of Mascoutah. Coleman was cited for DUI.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say Bellamy was fatally injured as a result of the first crash.<\/p>\n<p>The westbound lanes of Route 16 were closed during the crash investigation, reopening at 5:47am Sunday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A pedestrian was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle late Saturday night at Mattoon.
