They came back again with 19 points in the third quarter to lead 57-31. The Cardinals ended up with nine points in the final quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Five players finished in double figures. Cody Zimdars led the way with 20 points. He got the Cardinals off in the right direction in the opening quarter with 10 points on three field goals and three of three at the line. He finished with seven field goals, one a three-pointer, and five of five at the line.<\/p>\n<p>Also in double digits were Lucas Griffey with 13, Mason Byers with 10, all in the third quarter, and Carder Walden with 10.<\/p>\n<p>Neoga was led by Trenton Ballinger with 12 on four three-pointers and Malik Coy with 10 on four field goals, two from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n<p>In junior varsity play, North Clay captured a 51-30 victory. Ezra Cook chipped in with a three-pointer and Brock Niemerg hit a basket.<\/p>\n<p>The lead stood at 32-14 at halftime as Gavin Meinhart, Niemerg and Jackon Icenogle hit a three-pointer each.<\/p>\n<p>St. Elmo\/Brownstown had a slight 13-11 third quarter edge as Kyle Seabaugh and Jayden Hughett hit a three-pointer each and Bentley Sanders scored four.<\/p>\n<p>But Dieterich finished out with a 12-6 final period.<\/p>\n<p>Bohnhoff connected on eight field goals and was two of two at the line for 18 points for the winners. Wilhour 1), Dieterich 4 (Meinhart 1, Niemerg 1, Cook 1, Icenogle 1).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>At Newton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This one was a close contest from the beginning to the end as Teutopolis edged out Newton 61-57 Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The Wooden Shoes held a 13-12 opening quarter lead as Gavin Buening connected on two three-pointers and Joey Probst hit from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n<p>Newton remained close with four points from Kody Bergbower and a three-pointer by Hayden Mulvey.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams tallied 14 points in the second period as T-town led 27-26.<\/p>\n<p>Gavin Addis connected for five while Jason Kreke and Landyn Thoele had four each for the Shoes.<\/p>\n<p>Bergbower hit two baskets and a free throw for five for the Eagles while four other players scored.<\/p>\n<p>Newton then moved into a 43-39 lead in the third period as Mulvey put in two three-pointers and a regular basket for eight.<\/p>\n<p>But, T-town came roaring back with a 22-14 final period to pull out the victory. Isaac McWhorter, who had scored six points through the first three quarters, knocked in a three-pointer, two regular baskets and two of two at the free throw line for nine points while Addis connected on five of six at the free throw line and Buening added another three-pointer.<\/p>\n<p>McWhorter finished with 15 points on six field goals, one a three-pointer, and two of two at the line to lead the Shoes. Addis chipped in with 14.<\/p>\n<p>Newton was led by H. Mulvey with five baskets, four from three-point range, for 14 while Bergbower added six baskets and two free throws, also for 14. D. Wolf chipped in with 11. The Eagles are now 10-11 on the season and return to action Friday against Marshall.<\/p>\n<p>Teutopolis also claimed the junior varsity win, 65-32. K. Milleville scored seven points on a regular basket, a three-pointer and two of two at the line.<\/p>\n<p>Altamont then went on a run, outscoring Flora by a 16-7 third quarter tally and a 12-6 final period score.<\/p>\n<p>Parker Bell hit four points on a three and a free throw while K. Milleville added on five more points.<\/p>\n<p>K. Milleville finished with 19 points on seven field goals, three of those coming from beyond the arc, and two of two at the line.
