Effingham St. Anthony split victories with Newton St. Thomas in junior high volleyball competition Thursday.<\/p>\n

St. Thomas was a winner in seventh-grade play, 25-22, 25-11.<\/p>\n

The Bullpups were led by Morgan Kabbes with five digs, Morgan Litz with one assist, Maeve Niebrugge, Emery Johnson and Ava Barnes with one block each and Emma Galeener with five aces.<\/p>\n

St. Anthony won the eighth-grade match, 25-14, 25-11.<\/p>\n

Sylvia Semple led the Bullpups in digs with four. Amaya Griffith had six kills, Bella Schultz led in blocks with two. Nina Semple and Morgan Lustig had five aces each.<\/p>\n

At St. Anthony<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seventh-Grade Match<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eighth-Grade Match<\/strong><\/p>\n

St. Anthony —<\/strong> S. Semple, 4 digs, 3 aces; N. Semple, 7 assists, 5 aces; Lustig, 1 kill,1 block, 5 aces; Buehnerkemper, 2 kills, 1 block; Schultz, 5 kills, 2 blocks, 2 aces; Griffith, 5 assists, 6 kills; Nuxoll, 2 digs, 2 kills, 2 aces<\/p>\n

At Newton<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jasper County picked up both victories over Altamont Thursday.<\/p>\n

Jasper County won the seventh-grade match 25-12, 25-5 to remain unbeaten at 4-0.
\nH. Wolf led in aces with five. Hartrich had three kills and two digs. Ginder led in assists with four.<\/p>\n

Altamont was led by Blakely McClellan with two aces, Roslyn Kalber with two assists, Cali Ruffner with two kills and Emerson Kuenstler with four digs.<\/p>\n

Jasper County then claimed the eighth-grade contest 25-14, 25-9. Mulvey led in assists with 10, Ochs had three aces, Wolf finished with five kills. Jansen had three digs and Briscoe and Hall had one block each.<\/p>\n

Altamont was led by Payton Ort with two aces, two kills and three blocks, Kali Merritt and Teegan Burrus with one assist each. Burrus led in digs with three.<\/p>\n

At Newton<\/strong><\/p>\n

Altamont —<\/strong> Starnes, 1 kill; Kuensetler, 4 digs; Ruffner, 1 ace, 2 kills; Kalber, 2 assists, 2 digs; Burner, 2 digs; McClellan, 2 aces, 1 dig, 1 assist; Wagner, 2 aces, 1 kill; Hartrich, 1 ace, 3 kills, 1 assist, 2 digs; Ginder, 2 kills, 4 assists; Brown, 1 kill; Glidewell, 1 kill; Kocher, 1 dig<\/p>\n

At Windsor<\/strong><\/p>\n

Neoga fell to Windsor in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Thursday.<\/p>\n

Windsor claimed the seventh-grade match, 25-19, 25-16. Neoga is now 0-2.<\/p>\n

Neoga was led by Layney Barnard with eight aces, Josie Johnson with two, and Tessa Shafer had one. All of the previous players also registered kills.<\/p>\n

Windsor then won the eighth-grade contest. Neoga took the opening set 25-19 but Windsor came back with 25-15 15-9 counts for the win. Neoga drops to 2-1.<\/p>\n

Neoga was led by Jeslyn with six aces, Briley Rincker with five\u00a0 and Miranda Corrie with four. Corrie also had four kills, and Laura two kills.<\/div>\n

At Louisville<\/strong><\/p>\n

North Clay played host to Cowden-Herrick\/Beecher City and won both matches Thursday.<\/p>\n

CHBC claimed the opening set in seventh-grade play, 25-11. But North Clay took the match 25-14, 25-21.<\/p>\n

CHBC was led by Brooke Tucker and Elli Wheeler with two kills each. Makynlia Prater led in aces with eight. Tucker had two assists and three digs. Mya Wells and Mila Wakefield had one dig each.<\/p>\n

In the eighth-grade match, North Clay was a 25-9, 25-8 winner and improved to 3-0.<\/p>\n

CHBC was led by Elaina Thompson with two kills, Alyson Lawrence with three aces, Hadley Pope with three assists and Reese Vaughn with six digs.<\/p>\n

At Louisville<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seventh-Grade Match<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHBC —<\/strong> Tucker, 2 kills, 2 aces, 2 assists, 3 digs; Wheeler, 2 kills, 5 aces, 1 dig; Prater, 8 aces, 1 dig; Sarver, 3 aces, 1 dig; Wells, 1 kill, 1 block; Gill, 1 dig; Dilley, 2 aces, 1 dig; Wakefield, 1 kill, 1 block<\/p>\n

At Teutopolis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teutopolis played host to Casey-Westfield Thursday evening and won the C match, 25-12, 12-11.<\/p>\n
