Teutopolis High School will be the lone area team competing in the 74th Salem Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament beginning Wednesday, January 21<\/p>\n

In the opener Wednesday, Centralia faces Champaign Central at 6 p.m. followed by Salem against Mattoon at 7:30.<\/p>\n

Teutopolis will open play Thursday, January 22 at 6 p.m. against Carbondale. The second game at 7:30 will have Mount Vernon facing Gateway\u00a0 Legacy.<\/p>\n

The tournament continues Friday and will finish out Saturday with the seventh place game at 3 p.m. followed by the consolation championship at 4:30 p.m., third place at 6 p.m. and the championship at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Newton is seeded No. 3 and will meet No. 6 Mount Carmel at 5:30 p.m. January 24.<\/p>\n

Lawrenceville drew the top seed followed by Casey-Westfield, Newton, Richland County, Marshall, Mount Carmel, Robinson and Paris.<\/p>\n
