(MEMBERS OF THE EFFINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL ILLINOIS STATE SCHOLARS WERE RECOGNIZED AT THIS WEEK’S SCHOOL BOARD MEETING)<\/p>\n

Unit 40 school board members heard this week about a new AI support plan for the district. Proponents say the goal is to enhance the learning experience for both students and staff.<\/p>\n

Guided by a vision to continually utilize the most current technology in all aspects of learning, the district is taking steps to integrate AI in a way they say is both responsible and effective.<\/p>\n

According to Unit 40 Director of Innovation and Instructional Technology Stephanie Mitchell, “Rather than a one-size-fits-all policy, the district is adopting a flexible approach that respects the differences between grade levels. For example, Pre-K through 5th grade will have a teacher-centered approach while learning basic concepts of AI, while upper level classrooms will utilize a varied approach tailored to specific content areas and teacher and student needs.”<\/p>\n

By prioritizing staff rollout and thoughtful planning, Effingham Unit 40 aims to create a positive, technology-rich environment that empowers every student to succeed.<\/p>\n

Board members also saw a presentation on Central Grade School successes. Highlights included good behavior in the school and how it’s recognized, as well as information on test scores.<\/p>\n

The Board recognized the high school Illinois State Scholars, as well as the junior high boys cross country squad.<\/p>\n
