She connected on three baskets and was four of five at the line for 11 points.<\/p>\n<p>Probst finished with 15 points to lead the Shoes on five field goals, one a three-pointer, and four of five at the line.<\/p>\n<p>Also in double digits were Helmink with 11 and Niemerg with 10.<\/p>\n<p>The Shoes pulled down 10 rebounds led by Helmink with four. Haslett led the team in the second quarter with three baskets and two free throws for eight. Ramsey added another three-pointer.<\/p>\n<p>Haslett continued her hot scoring with five baskets in the third period for 10. Miller and Goebel had two assists each. The victim Thursday evening was Cowden-Herrick\/Beecher City. The Pirates won 51-27.<\/p>\n<p>Jude Miller went on an opening quarter run for the Pirates, scoring on four regular baskets and a three-pointer for 11 while Alysa Dittamore knocked in four baskets for eight and the Pirates held a 25-4 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Dittamore continued on with four baskets and a free throw for nine in the second quarter and Cumberland led 39-8 at halftime.<\/p>\n<p>Miller finished with 20 points on eight field goals, one a three-pointer, and three of six at the line. Dittamore added 17 points on eight field goals and a free throw. Allie Hermann led the way with 16 points on six field goals and four of six at the line. Grace Schumacher was just a point behind with 15 on seven field goals and a free throw. Maddie Brummer added 10.<\/p>\n<p>Claire Probst led the team in rebounds with 11. Alani Bergbower and Probst led in assists with four each. Grace Schumacher had four steals.<\/p>\n<p>Newton improved to 2-1 in the Little Illini Conference, 12-6 overall.
