Keenan Griffith put in a three and a regular basket for five.<\/p>\n<p>The Cardinals made it interesting with a final 19-17 third period. Byers added on six more points and Atwood scored five with a three-pointer and two free throws but it was too little.<\/p>\n<p>Waldhoff led the Bulldogs with nine field goals, four from beyond the arc, and two of two at the line for 24 points. Also in double figures were Griffith with 14 and Aiden Lauritzen with 12.<\/p>\n<p>North Clay was led by Byers with 21 on nine field goals and three of five at the line, Griffy with 14 and Zimdars with 12.<\/p>\n<p>In junior varsity action, St. Anthony was a 69-22 winner. The Bulldogs were led by four players in double figures. Cooper Sehy tallied 14, Blake Verdeyen 13, Will Vonderheide 10 and Connor Storm 10<\/p>\n<p>North Clay was led by Leonberger with seven.<\/p>\n<p>In freshman\/sophomore play, St. Anthony won 48-35.<\/p>\n<p>Logan Gowen and Charlie Hoene scored 12 each while Charlie Bierman added 10. Neoga came back with a slight 28-27 edge in the second half.<\/p>\n<p>Graiden Wilhour led the winners with 22 points on seven field goals, three from beyond the arc, and five of six at the line. Also hitting double digitis were Lucas Powell with 14 and Jayden Hughett with 11.<\/p>\n<p>Neoga was led by Roy with 16.<\/p>\n<p>In a Saturday contest, St. Elmo\/Brownstown won in overtime 60-56 over Tri-County.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles held a 21-13 opening quarter lead and led 33-25 at halftime. Tri-County came back with a 14-8 third period and had an 11-9 final quarter to tie the score at 50-50, sending the contest into overtime.<\/p>\n<p>G. Wilhour scored 14 points on six field goals, one a three-pointer, and one of two at the line. Hughett added 12 points and R. Stewart hit seven field goals, all from three-point range, and was three of three at the line for 27 points. Roedl connected on nine field goals, five from three-point land, and was two of two at the line for 25 points. Kade Milleville hit two regular baskets and a three-pointer for seven while Parker Bell and Zaine Miller had a regular basket and a three-pointer each for five.<\/p>\n<p>K. Milleville scored six in the second period 12-9 run as Altamont led 31-20 at halftime.<\/p>\n<p>Vandalia came back with a 17-15 run to pull within 46-37 going into the final period. Altamont got back on track with a 14-6 final quarter.<\/p>\n<p>K. Milleville led the way with 17 points on eight field goals, one a three-pointer. Newton then rallied with a 25-12 run to pull out the victory.<\/p>\n<p>Kody Bergbower led the way with 18 points on seven field goals and four of five at the line. Hayden Mulvey chipped in with 17 on six field goals that included two three-pointers and was three of four at the line.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles finished with eight three-pointers in the game, two each by Mulvey, Eli Wolf and Drake Wolf.<\/p>\n<p>Newton won the junior varsity game, 54-35.<\/p>\n<p>Newton plays host to Timothy Christian Elmhurst Saturday. The Eagles came out 40-39 winners.<\/p>\n<p>Only one player finished in double figures.
