Flooring the recipient of its first annual \u201cGenerational Legacy Award,\u201d recognizing the fifth-generation family-owned business for its exceptional service and dedication to the Midwest furniture community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis award is about shedding light on the people who do business in a way we think is good for everybody &#8211; consumers, manufacturers, and employees,\u201d said Midwest Furniture Club Representative, Geoff Weed.\u00a0 \u201cIn our world, a retailer\u2019s job is to take care of the customer, and Wright\u2019s does that and more.\u00a0 They are exceptional.\u00a0 We try to encourage that kind of behavior across all our retailers because we want to see more businesses like Wright\u2019s Furniture.\u00a0 When we identify companies that meet our criteria, not just longevity, but doing things the right way, we want to celebrate and reward that.\u00a0 This award is not given simply for legacy, but it is about doing business with integrity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Midwest Furniture Club is a regional organization dedicated to supporting furniture retailers, suppliers, and industry professionals.\u00a0 The organization fosters collaboration, promotes best practices, and celebrates excellence in service and business leadership.\u00a0 The \u201cGenerational Legacy Award\u201d not only honors retailers who have successfully sustained their businesses across multiple generations, but it also celebrates those who uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethical values, and commitment to their communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re extremely grateful to be recognized for our legacy in the Dieterich community,\u201d said John Wright, president of Wright\u2019s Furniture and Flooring.\u00a0 \u201cSince we opened the business in 1889, our family has been proud to carry the business for five generations, and each has built on the foundation of the ones before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alex Wright, Vice President of Wright\u2019s Furniture and Flooring, says the fact that he\u2019s able to work alongside his family feels like he\u2019s won the lottery, and winning this award is like icing on the cake.\u00a0 \u201cMy cousins Devin, Taylor, and I are the fifth generation, and on behalf of the four generations before us, we are deeply humbled to accept this award,\u201d said Wright.\u00a0 \u201cWe know we\u2019re stronger together, and that our company and the communities we serve are both important.\u00a0 Building the right team has been key; finding people who share our commitment and passion and empowering them to help make this business thrive for five generations has been crucial to our success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCustomer service has always been one of the most important parts of our business, and it\u2019s a legacy that\u2019s been passed on through each generation,\u201d said Devin Wright, Sales Associate at Wright\u2019s Furniture and Flooring.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re grateful to our loyal customers, dedicated employees, and trusted partners who have helped make our business what it is today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think for any family-owned business that has been around for 130 years, one of the biggest keys to success is our ability to adapt to change while still staying true to our values of quality, integrity, and community,\u201d said Taylor Wright, Interior Designer at Wright at Home Interiors.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re excited to see what the next 100 years will look like for Wright\u2019s Furniture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wright\u2019s Furniture &amp;
