The land will be platted into 14 residential lots.<\/p>\n<p>A resolution related to the development of 14 lots into what will be Oak Point Subdivision was approved. The development is located near the waterway behind Kohl&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>The Council also accepted improvements, reduced the bond, and extended the bond in Hidden Hills Subdivision in the northeast part of town. That project involves 33 residential lots. Another project adds 20 more lots to Hidden Hills Subdivision.<\/p>\n<p>Those projects add up to more than 100 residential lots to be developed.<\/p>\n<p>Council members were updated on the 2050 Comprehensive Plan by City Planner Greg Koester, who said the goal is still to have the plan completed by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Three of five Council members were on hand for Tuesday&#8217;s meeting&#8230;Commissioners Hank Stephens and Jake Niebrugge were not there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Effingham City Council Tuesday was pleased to approve the final plat of River Ridge Subdivision, a 23-lot development on the west edge of the city off US Route 40.
