TEUTOPOLIS — Teutopolis played host to Vandalia and send the visitors home with two junior high girls basketball losses Friday.<\/p>\n

The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade game, 32-2.<\/p>\n

Dieterich’s lone basket was by Kambryn Mellendorf.<\/p>\n

In eighth-grade action, T-town edged out to a 7-5 opening quarter lead but Dieterich came back to pull ahead 11-9 at halftime. T-town then had a 16-7 second half run.<\/p>\n

Ava Benefielt led Dieterich with six points while Emma Williams added five.<\/p>\n

Stewardson-Strasburg claimed two victories over Altamont Friday.<\/p>\n

Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade game, 25-19 to improve to 2-2 on the season.<\/p>\n

Altamont held a 15-13 halftime lead and led 19-17 going into the final quarter. Stew-Stras came back to hold Altamont scoreless while putting in eight points for the win.<\/p>\n

Barnard had 11 points for Stew-Stras which improves to 2-1 in the National Trail Conference, 2-2 overall.<\/p>\n

Altamont was led by McClellan with 10.<\/p>\n

In eighth-grade action, the game went two overtimes before Stew-Stras pulled out a 30-23 victory.<\/p>\n

Stew-Stras came back with an 18-11 third quarter deficit to outscore Altamont 12-3 to knot the score sending the contest into the first overtime and won with seven points in the second overtime period.<\/p>\n

Maddy Manhart led the way with 10 points as the team improved to 2-1 in the NTC, 2-2 overall.<\/p>\n
