O&#8217;Dell (88) of Flora, formerly of Louisville"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-right\"><a href=\"javascript: window.print()\" class=\"pdfprnt-button pdfprnt-button-print\" target=\"_self\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thexradio.com\/news\/wp-content\/plugins\/pdf-print\/images\/print.png\" alt=\"image_print\" title=\"Print Content\" \/><span class=\"pdfprnt-button-title pdfprnt-button-print-title\">Print<\/span><\/a><\/div><p>Harry Valetine O\u2019Dell, age 88, of Flora and formerly of Louisville, passed away at 7:45 pm Friday, December 20, 2024, at Axiom Healthcare of Flora.<\/p>\n<p>Harry was born at their family home in rural Louisville on October 28, 1936, the son of Leland Valentine and Bessie Lucille (Abel) O\u2019Dell. Harry spent most of his working life working with his father as a carpenter and later in life worked at Mike\u2019s Market in Louisville. Harry was a quiet man that like the simple pleasures in life, just sitting around watching a good tv show or going out for car rides in the country taking in all of nature\u2019s beaty.<\/p>\n<p>Harry is survived by his siblings: Larry (Mary) O\u2019Dell of Flora, Tom O\u2019Dell of Louisville, Nancy Palmer of Anderson, Indiana, Connie Jones (Max McKinney) of Louisville; and he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Harry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Billy O\u2019Dell, Donnie O\u2019Dell, Jimmy \u201cCotton\u201d O\u2019Dell, Brenda Sue Hale, and Betty Willis.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial services to celebrate Harry\u2019s life will be held at 1:30pm Monday, December 30, 2024, at the McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville with Brent Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Orchard Hill Cemetery. A short visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 1:00 to 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Harry\u2019s memory to the Clay County Hospice. The McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville is honored to be entrusted with the families care and arrangements.
