Effingham St. Anthony High School won its own boys golf invitational Saturday at Indian Springs.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs tallied a 298 followed by Effingham 303, Teutopolis 305, Belleville Althoff Catholic 311, Richland County, Olney 313, St. Anthony Two 314, Glen Carbon Father McGivney 328, Breese Central 338, Greenville 345, Pleasant Plains 345, Hillsboro 347, Decatur St. Teresa 358, Robinson 375, Vandalia 376, Altamont 389 and Marshall 449.<\/p>\n

Medalist honors went to Logan Gowin, a freshman, in a playoff with T-town’s Coen Pennington. Gowin won with a 37-34 — 71. Pennington had a 36-35 — 71.<\/p>\n

Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Whitley Briggs 36-88 — 74, Alec Hakman 40-36 — 76 and Maddux Clark 40-37 — 77.<\/p>\n

Scoring for second place Effingham were Jack Swingler who took fifth with a 37-36 — 73, Leo Wyckoff 38-38 — 76, Cannon Bockhorn 41-36 — 77 and Jude Traub 39-38 — 77.<\/p>\n

Teutopolis’ C. Pennington tied for first with a 36-35 — 71 followed by Issac Weber 37-37 — 74, Owen Kremer 40-40 — 80 and Kade Pennington 41-39 — 80.<\/p>\n

Also in the top five were Belleville Althoff Catholic’s Carbon Tribout 36-36 — 72 third and Christian Swalley of Greenville fourth with a 36-37 — 73.<\/p>\n
