Content\" \/><span class=\"pdfprnt-button-title pdfprnt-button-print-title\">Print<\/span><\/a><\/div><p>Montrose Fire Protection District and Greenup Fire and Ambulance responded to a multiple-vehicle accident with injuries on eastbound Interstate 70 at mile marker 110.\u00a0 The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, with lanes completely blocked.<\/p>\n<p>An out-of-state paramedic travelling through the area, confirmed to officials that all occupants had exited their vehicles on their own, and also assessed injuries.\u00a0 The Marion County Sheriff was also passing by and assisted with patients and traffic control.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of this scene was the initial crash that caused traffic to stop.\u00a0 Greenup Fire handled that call with no one requiring treatment for injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple ambulances had been dispatched to both locations, with Rural Med from Effingham and Clark County Ambulance assisting.\u00a0 Also responding were the Illinois State Police, Cumberland County Sheriff&#8217;s Department, and Illinois Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n<p><em>Photos are courtesy of Montrose Fire Protection
