Area high school boys basketball regionals get underway Monday around the area.<\/p>\n

In Class 1A, Effingham St. Anthony drew the No. 1 seed in the Moweaqua Central A&M Regional. Also entered in that regional from the area are No. 6 Windsor\/Stewardson-Strasburg and No. 13 Cowden-Herrick\/Beecher City.<\/p>\n

Five area teams will take part in the 1A South Central Regional. Those include top-seeded Dieterich, No. 4 Altamont, No. 5 North Clay (Louisville), No. 7 South Central and No. 10 St. Elmo\/Brownstown<\/p>\n

Neoga, seeded 11th, will be competing at the 1A Chrisman Regional<\/p>\n

Teutopolis, Newton and Cumberland will be taking part in Class 2A regionals.<\/p>\n

T-town drew the No. 2 seed at the Fairfield Regional.<\/p>\n

No. 6 Cumberland and No. 7 Newton will take part in the Paris Regional<\/p>\n

Effingham rounds out the area schools and will be hosting a Class 3A regional. The Hearts are seeded ninth.<\/p>\n
