Mount Zion stepped out to an 8-2 opening quarter lead and led 16-15 at halftime.<\/p>\n<p>St. Anthony came back with a 9-8 third quarter run to tie the score at 24-24 then had a 6-4 final quarter for the two-point victory.<\/p>\n<p>R. Schumacher led the Bullpups with 10 points.<\/p>\n<p>In the eighth-grade game, St. Anthony was a 35-29 winner.<\/p>\n<p>The Bullpups trailed 9-8 after the opening quarter but moved into a 15-13 halftime lead then had a 20-16 second half.<\/p>\n<p>B. Verdeyen scored 14 points for the winners while C. Taylorville came back with a 15-10 second half for the 33-30 win.<\/p>\n<p>The Mustangs were led by Calvin Beck with eight points and Deek Thompson with seven.<\/p>\n<p>In eighth-grade play, Taylorville took the early 9-4 lead and led 14-12 halftime lead.
