The State track meets are set to begin Thursday at Eastern Illinois University’s O’Brien Stadium.<\/p>\n

The Class 1A meet will be held Thursday with semifinals. Field events begin at 10 a.m. with the long jump while competition in the running events begin at noon with the 4×800 meter relay.<\/p>\n

The Class 2A meet will start Friday with field events at 8 a.m. with the long jump. Running events for 2A begin at 10 a.m. with the 4×800 meter relay.<\/p>\n

Those advancing from the semifinals will head back to State Saturday for the finals in Class 1A, Class 2A and Class 3A. Field and track events will both begin at 10 a.m. in 1A and 2A. The award ceremony will take place at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
