ALTAMONT — South Central picked up two junior high boys basketball wins over Altamont in Friday action.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the seventh-grade contest, South Central was a 45-42 winner.<\/p>\n

South Central took a 12-6 opening quarter lead and led 24-21 at halftime. Altamont had a 21-19 second half edge but it was too little, too late.<\/p>\n

L. Doehring led South Central with 16 points while J. Smith added 12.<\/p>\n

Altamont was led by Jack Neu with 21 points on seven field goals, one a three-pointer, and six free throws.<\/p>\n

In eighth-grade play, South Central took a 58-23 victory.<\/p>\n

The winners held a 31-11 halftime lead.<\/p>\n

Guerrettaz led the way with 16 points on seven field goals, two from three-point range. Lotz added 13 points.<\/p>\n

Altamotn was led by Bannister with 13 points.<\/p>\n
