Benefit for HSHS St. Anthony&#8217;s Memorial Hospital Foundation","description":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The HSHS St. Anthony\u2019s Memorial Hospital Foundation is hosting its 17th annual Golf Benefit Friday, Oct. 2 at the Effingham Country Club.\u00a0 The HSHS St. Anthony\u2019s Foundation expresses its thanks to its golf benefit sponsor Air Evac Lifeteam\/GMR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Registration begins at 10 a.m., with lunch being served from 10:30 to 11:40 a.m. as well as a putting contest.\u00a0 After a brief welcome and presentation at 11:40 a.m., the noon tee-off begins the four-person scramble, which consists of 32 teams of four players.\u00a0 Golfers can participate in mulligans, on-course contests and more activities.\u00a0 A new feature this year will be six mobile mini golf holes placed throughout the course.\u00a0 The event ends with a post-event reception featuring a meal and announcements of tournament and contest winners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As a fundraising event, costs of the golf benefit will be underwritten by sponsors who support the hospital and its health care initiatives.\u00a0 Philanthropy Manager Michael Wall said, \u201cDonors play an integral role in enhancing the care HSHS St. Anthony\u2019s Memorial Hospital provides to our patients and community each year.\u00a0 For example, funds raised have supported the purchase of surgical and state-of-the-art medical equipment, as well as funded patient transportation,\u201d he said.\u00a0 \u201cThis year we are supporting the needs of future generations by raising funds for our Center for Pediatric Therapy, which offers innovative treatments catered specifically to the unique needs of children in a child-friendly environment, promoting development, improving mobility and encouraging independence.\u00a0 We invite anyone interested in supporting our community hospital to consider sponsoring or participating in our golf event.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Those not available or not interested in golfing who would still like to support the hospital can be \u201cCommunity Support\u201d sponsors and\/or purchase raffle tickets for a number of prizes which will be raffled off.\u00a0 You need not be present to win.\u00a0 Raffle tickets are $5 each, five tickets for $20 or 30 tickets for $100.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Area residents and community advocates who would like to become a sponsor, enter a team or purchase raffle
