DESCRIPTION:Lace up and hit the trails for the Lake Land College 5K on Saturday\, August 2. \nThe 5K is a unique cross-country race experience winding through the scenic grounds of Lake Land College in Mattoon. \nUnlike your typical road race\, this off-road 5K challenges runners/walkers with rolling hills\, grassy fields\, wooded paths and the natural beauty of the Lake Land College campus\, all while introducing the community to the newly-formed Lake Land College cross country team. \nCome explore the heart of Lake Land College campus\, support the student-athletes\, and enjoy a race that’s anything but ordinary. \nThe race begins at 8 a.m. at the Lake Land College campus.  The cost is $20 for students and $30 for individual participants. The first 125 runners will receive a T-shirt. \nPacket pickup is in the Field House which is the basketball arena at Lake Land College. Participants may park in Lot A or Lot 5. \nRegistration ends August 1 at 5:00pm.  Registration is at runsignup.com/LakeLandCollege5k
