Members of the Effingham Noon Rotary Club were kept busy Saturday morning, hosting hundreds of area residents at their annual pancake and sausage breakfast at Effingham High School. Proceeds from the breakfast are going to help support the Effingham Unit 40 Mentoring Program.

The event also gave local residents the opportunity to see one of the shelter boxes being acquired by Rotarians to send to Haiti. A shelter box contains a variety of supplies, including a tent large enough to house 10 people.

Noon Club Rotarians are planning to "camp out' in a shelter box tent for 24 continuous hours this spring to raise funds for the purchase of additional shelter boxes.
