Courtney Johnson

I’m Courtney Johnson, my husband and I reside in Effingham. I am a 2009 graduate from St. Anthony High School where I was actively involved in CEO, clubs, sports, and student council. After graduating I ventured my way to Champaign to study Mass Communications TV/ Radio Broadcasting. I was a member of the 2009-2010 Parkland Charmer dance team where I competed at the national level for both Jazz and Hip-Hop.

After my two year study at Parkland, I relocated myself back to Effingham and became employed at Premier Broadcasting (979XFM and KJ Country 102.3) in the fall of 2011. I began running the audio board for Rams (of course, when the still called themselves The St. Louis Rams) Football and NASCAR. I became educated in both sports because of running the board and have secretly become a fan of the two.

In January of 2012, I shifted myself over to KJ County where I began working on Sunday mornings. I also had the opportunity to broadcast the news for 979XFM and KJ County 102.3 during my morning shift. Since then, I have been a Co-host of The Drive Home with Brian H and created the blog and vlog "Out on The Town with Courtney." You can now find me brainstorming with my clients on how to create new and sustain existing business by incorporating traditional advertising and digital marketing together.

I am truly blessed to work with such a great team here at the radio station and I look forward to many more years of broadcasting and helping area businesses succeed in the Effingham Community.
