The Stewardson-Strasburg Comets are one win away from a state championship.

The Comets defeated New Athens Friday morning 25-12, 25-23 at Illinois State University's Redbird Arena.  Stew-Stras will take on Rockford (Keith Country Day) for the Class 1A state championship at about 10:30am Saturday.  Rockford defeated Sciota West Prairie 25-16, 21-25, 25-17 in the other semifinal.

A reminder for Comets' fans that there will NOT be ticket sales Friday afternoon for Saturday morning's championship game.  All sales are at Redbird Arena tomorrow morning.

A reminder, also, that a Welcome Home for the volleyball team is planned at 4pm Saturday in the Stew-Stras High School Gym.
