DIETERICH -- Effingham was a double winner in junior high volleyball competition Thursday.

The Mustangs claimed the seventh-grade match over Dieterich, 25-18, 25-14.

In eighth-grade play, Effingham won 25-14, 25-12.

Cowden/Herrick/Beecher City split victories with Mulberry Grove in junior high volleyball competition Thursday.

 

CHBC won the seventh-grade match, 25-23, 25-20.

In eighth-grade action, Mulberry Grove claimed the win, 25-23, 26-24.

Jasper County picked up the seventh-grade win over Edwards County (Albion), 25-14, 25-17.

In eighth-grade play, Edwards County was a winner, 25-12, 25-11.

Jasper County is now 7-4 in both seventh- and eighth-grade play.

Stewardson-Strasburg defeated Neoga in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Thursday.

Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade match, 25-11, 25-14 to improve to 11-3 on the season.

In eighth-grade competition, Stew-Stras was a 25-20, 25-18 winner and improved to 6-5.
