TEUTOPOLIS -- Effingham and Teutopolis picked up a victory each in junior high volleyball competition Tuesday.

 

The Wooden Shoes were winners in the seventh-grade match, 25-14, 25-19. T-town is now 9-2 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, Effingham was a winner 25-12, 25-19. The Shoes drop to 8-3 on the season.

T-town will be back in action Friday at Effingham St. Anthony starting at 5 p.m.

At Teutopolis

Seventh-Grade Match

Teutopolis -- Madison Probst, 1 ace, 3 assists, 1 dig, 1 block; Marie Zumbahlen, 3 kills; Gabby Tegeler, 1 ace, 4 kills, 2 digs; Brittany Swingler, 4 assists, 1 dig; Elise Pals, 1 kill, 2 blocks, Kera Hartke, 3 digs; Adrienne Koester, 1 kill

Eighth-Grade Match

Teutopolis -- Ava Ruholl, 1 ace; Allie Ruholl, 1 block; Anna Probst, 2 aces, 1 kill; Madison Miller, 1 ace, 2 kills, 2 blocks; Olivia Wermert, 1 ace

 

At Ramsey

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City tallied two victories over Ramsey Tuesday.

CHBC had to go three sets before claiming the seventh-grade match. CHBC won the opener 25-11 before Ramsey claimed the second set, 25-23. The Bobcats then captured the match, 25-19.

In eighth-grade play, CHBC was a 25-20, 25-20 winner.

At Martinsville

Jasper County claimed the eighth-grade match victory over Martinsville Tuesday with 25-23, 25-19 scores. The eighth-grade squad improved to 7-3.

But in seventh-grade, Martinsville downed Jasper County, 25-19, 25-20. Jasper County dropped to 6-4.
