Effingham captured two junior high school volleyball victories over St. Elmo/Brownstown Thursday.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade contest, 25-18, 25-4.

Effingham then won the eighth-grade match, 25-15, 25-12.

At St. Elmo

Seventh-Grade Match

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis picked up two victories over Windsor in junior high volleyball action Thursday.

The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade contest, 25-6, 25-5 to imrpove to 2-0 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, T-town was a 25-14, 25-17 winner and is also 2-0. The Shoes will be back in action today at Marshall.

At Newton

Sigel St. Michael came calling and claimed two victories over Jasper County Thursdasy.

St. Michael was a winner in the seventh-grade match, 25-14, 25-8. Jasper County fell to 2-1.

In eighth-grade action, the Sharpshooters won 25-23, 25-21. Jasper County dropped to 2-1.

Jasper County is back in action Monday hosting Marshall.

At Newton

At Kinmundy

South Central pulled out a win in the eighth-grade match but Stewardson-Strasburg claimed the seventh-grade contest Thursday.

Stew-Stras won in two sets, 25-10, 25-15 in the seventh-grade encounter.

In the eighth-grade contest, South Central won the opener 26-24 but Stew-Stras came back to take the second set 25-22. South Central then won the match, 25-10.
