St. Anthony High School senior Kyra Swearingen has signed her letter of intent to play college volleyball at Augustana College in Rock Island.

Kyra, the daughter of Gary and Jennifer Swearingen of Neoga, said she decided on Augustana because their volleyball coach showed the most interest. She was also attracted to the school because of their Scandanavian Studies program. She plans to major in Business or Finance, but a Swedish exchange student who stayed with her family when Kyra was younger led her to want to learn the Swedish language and more about their culture.

Here's Greg's interview with Kyra Swearingen...

Kyra has lettered in Tennis at St. Anthony, as well as volleyball and has competed on the school's Bass Fishing team. She was Captain of the volleyball team, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
