LOUISVILLE -- North Clay (Louisville) played host to Effingham Sacred Heart and picked up two victories Monday.

North Clay was a winner in seventh-grade action, 25-20, 25-16.

In the eighth-grade contest, Sacred Heart won the opening set, 25-23. But North Clay came back with 25-13, 25-18 scores for the match.

At Charleston

Effingham claimed two victories over Charleston in both seventh and eighth-grade volleyball action Monday.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade contest, 25-15, 26-24. to improve to 15-2 on the season.

In eighth-grade action, Effingham was a winner in two sets, 25-19, 25-15 and now stands at 9-5.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis split wins with Robinson in volleyball play Monday evening.

The Wooden Shoes claimed the seventh-grade match, 25-11, 25-9. The squad improved to 6-9 on the season.

In eighth-grade action, Robinson was a winner, taking the opener 25-16. The Wooden Shoes won the next set 25-17. Robinson then took the match, 25-9. T-town dropped to 11-4 and will be back in action hosting Altamont February 18.

At Newton

Jasper County improved its seventh-grade record to 14-2 on the season with a victory over Olney Monday.

Jasper County won 25-17, 25-21.

In eighth-grade play, Jasper County also picked up the win, 25-17, 25-23 and is now 7-6.
