NEOGA -- The National Trail Conference Seventh-Grade Volleyball Tournament got underway Wednesday evening.

In the opener, St. Elmo/Brownstown claimed the win over Dieterich. SEB, seeded eighth, won the opener 25-23. Dieterich, seeded ninth, came back with a 25-13 count. SEB then won the match, 16-14.

SEB advances to face top-seeded North Clay (Louisville) at 9 a.m. Saturday.

In the second contest, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City defeated Windsor, no score reported. CHBC will now face Altamont at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Sacred Heart then defeated No. 11 seeded South Central, 25-14, 25-15.

The Shamrocks, seeded sixth, advance to meet No. 3 Stewardson-Strasburg at 10 a.m. Saturday.
