DIETERICH -- Effingham Sacred Heart and Dieterich split junior high volleyball victories Monday.

Dieterich captured the seventh-grade match. Sacred Heart won the opener 25-17 but Dieterich came back with 25-16, 25-14 scores for the win.

In eighth-grade action, the Shamrocks picked up the win, 25-14, 25-21.

Sacred Heart also won the fifth-sixth grade match, 15-10, 15-11.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis claimed the eighth-grade match while Jasper County won the seventh-grade contest in Monday evening action.

Jasper County went out at 25-17, 25-16 to win the seventh-grade contest. T-town dropped to 3-6 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, the Wooden Shoes were winners, 26-24, 25-11 and now stand at 8-1.

Stewardson Trinity Lutheran was a winner over Altamont in both contests Monday.

In seventh-grade competition, Altamont won the opener 25-20 but Trinity came back with 25-9, 15-6 scores for the match. Altamont saw its record dip to 5-3.

Stewardson Trinity claimed the eighth-grade match in two sets, 25-17, 25-3. Altamont drops to 0-8 on the season.

At St. Peter

North Clay and St. Peter Lutheran picked up a victory each Monday evening.

North Clay was a winner in the seventh-grade match, 25-17, 15-25, 15-12.

In eighth-grade action, St. Peter Lutheran won 25-23, 25-21.

 

At Clay City

Clay City opened its season with a split in volleyball action Monday.

Clay City was a winner in eighth-grade play, 25-18, 25-19 over West Salem.

In seventh-grade play, West Salem won 25-16, 26-24.

In a C match, West Salem won 26-24 before Clay City won 26-24.
