Stewardson Trinity is headed to the Class S State Volleyball Tournament.

Stewardson Trinity Lutheran is headed to the SIJHSAA Region 15, Class S State Volleyball Tournament.

Trinity handed St. Peter Lutheran a loss in two sets, 25-14, 25-9 to win the Class S Patoka Regional Thursday.

"The girls played great tonight," said Coach Tammy Manhart. "With lots of excitement and energy. The last two seasons we have not made it out of regionals so this is exciting for this group of girls. We have high hopes and are looking to bring home some hardware."

The win gives Trinity a 26-1 record and the squad will now face St. Ann from Nashville Saturday, March 23 at the State Tournament in Herrin. S. Ann won its own regional by downing Woodlawn, 25-16, 25-15.

Stewardson Trinity will meet St. Ann at 11 a.m. March 23.
