Bulldogs, Bobcats, Indians Nab Volleyball Wins

DIETERICH -- Effingham St. Anthony handed Dieterich losses in junior varsity and varsity volleyball competition Monday evening.

The Bulldogs won the varsity contest, 25-11, 25-13. Katie Kabbes, Meg Richards and Taylor Ritz had four kills each for the winners while Ada Rozene and Richards had three aces each. Elizabeth Kabbes had nine assists. Rozene led in points with 14 and Richards added 10.

The Movin' Maroons were led by Gabi Hardiek and Megan Bierman with four kills each. Emily Hall led in assists with four. Hardiek had two aces and seven digs.

In the junior varsity contest, St. Anthony was a 25-12, 25-12 winner.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City dropped to 8-11 on the season with a 25-12, 25-21 loss to host Morrisonville Monday.

The Bobcats were led by Zaryah Smith with four kills and an ace. Allie Stell and Abby Sloan had an ace each. Katln Johnson led in assists with four. Jacque Witteborg had 11 digs.

In junior varsity action, CHBC won 25-12, 25-21.
