Teutopolis saw its season come to a close in the Class 7-3A Shelbyville Moulton Volleyball Regional Monday evening.

The Wooden Shoes won the opener 25-14 but Arcola came back to take the next two sets, 25-13, 26-24.

T-town's season came to a close with a 4-15 record.

In the other contest, Tuscola East Prairie defeated Sullivan, 25-15, 25-13.

In matches tonight, Shelbyville Moulton faces Arcola at 6 followed by Arthur against Tuscola East Prairie at 7:15.

Class 7-3A Shelbyville Moulton Regional

Teutopolis -- Swingler, 3 aces, 7 assists; Konkel, 2 aces, 9 kills; Kremer, 6 kills; Gibson, 2 aces, 1 kill; Miller, 2 kills; Habing, 4 assists; Drees, 1 ace, 4 assists; Deters, 3 aces

 

Class 7-1A Chrisman Scottland Regional

Stewardson-Strasburg advanced to the championship match of the Chrisman Scottland Regional.

Stew-Stras handed Martinsville a loss. Martinsville won the opening set, 25-13. Stew-Stras came back strong to take 25-19, 25-11 victories.

In the opener, Hume Shiloh downed Chrisman Scottland, 21-25, 25-10, 25-9.

Stew-Stras will face Hume Shiloh at 6 p.m. today for the championship.

 

Class 7-2A North Clay (Louisville) Regional

North Clay (Louisville) and Oblong advanced in first round play at the North Clay Regional Monday evening.

North Clay defeated Hutsonville, 25-22, 25-11.

In the opener, Oblong defeated Edwards County (Albion), 16-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Oblong advances to face Effingham St. Anthony today at 5 p.m. followed by North Clay against South Central at 6.

 

Class 7-3A Cumberland Regional

Jasper County advanced to the championship match of the Cumberland Regional with a victory Monday evening.

Jasper County lost its opening set, 25-19 then came back with 25-22, 25-19 victories over Casey-Westfield.

In the first match of the evening, Marshall downed Cumberland. Cumberland claimed the first set, 25-18. But Marshall tallied 25-23, 25-22 wins for the match.

Jasper County will face Marshall at 4:30 p.m. Thursday for the championship.

Class 7-3A Cumberland Regional

Jasper County -- Shull, 4 aces, 2 kills, 1 dig; Oldham, 4 aces, 6 kills, 1 dig; Kirts, 3 aces, 1 dig; Whitaker, 2 aces, 1 kill, 1 assist; Utley, 1 ace, 1 kill; Dhom, 2 kills; Kocher, 1 kill, 7 assists, 1 dig

 

Class 7-2A Findlay Okaw Valley Regional

Altamont and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City advanced in the Findlay Okaw Valley Regional.

Altamont defeated Neoga. Neoga won the opener 25-15 but Altamont came back with 25-13, 25-13 scores for the match.

In the second contest, CHBC downed Ramsey, 25-17, 25-15.

Altamont will now face Findlay Okaw Valley at 5:30 p.m. today followed by St. Elmo/Brownstown against CHBC at 6:30.

 

Class 7-1A Sigel St. Michael Regional

West Salem picked up the opening round victory over Newton St. Thomas in the St. Michael Regional Monday.

St. Thomas won the opener 26-24 but West Salem came back with 25-17, 25-19 scores for the victory.

Effingham Sacred Heart then downed Dieterich, 25-21, 26-24.

Sigel St. Michael will face West Salem at 6 p.m. today while Sacred Heart takes on Grayville at 7.
