Mt. Zion defeated Effingham in Apollo Conference action Tuesday, 15-25, 18-25.

For Effingham: Miranda Fox--14 digs...Jordan Christy--3 kills, 2 blocks and 4 digs...Becca Webster--1 assist and 7 digs...Carsyn Fearday--3 kills, 11 assists, 1 ace, 2 blocks and 5 digs...Chloe Martin--3 kills, 1 ace, 3 blocks and 1 dig...Kourtney Cordes--2 blocks...Aly Armstrong--3 assists and 9 digs...Natalie Carie--4 kills and 3 digs...Shelby Myers--3 kills.

Effingham is now 6-14 on the season.

Mt. Zion won the JV match 25-22, 25-16. Effingham's JV is now 6-6. Mt. Zion won the frosh-soph match 25-19, 25-23. The freshmen are 4-7-1.

Altamont defeated St. Anthony in National Trail Conference action Tuesday. Altamont was victorious 25-19, 20-25, 25-20.

For Altamont: Kills--Mayhaus 7, Jackman 7, Simmons 5, Wolff 5, Runge 4...Digs--Mette 12, Grimsley 9, Jackman 5...Ace--Mette 7...Assist--Hoene 13, Kuhns 10...Blocks--Jackman 4, Runge 3.

Altamont is 14-5 on the season, and improved to 5-1 in National Trail Conference action. 

Altamont won the JV match 25-15, 25-20. Altamont's JV is 12-3 with a 6-0 conference record.

Teutopolis Coach Tim Mills said, "The girls came to play tonight. They really did a nice job of setting the tempo early and maintaining it throughout the match. We kept the errors to a minimum and pounded the ball consistently."
