ST. ELMO -- The Egyptian-Illini Conference Volleyball Tournament opened play Monday evening at St. Elmo High School.

Brownstown defeated Patoka, 25-9, 25-15. Christ Our Rock Lutheran then downed Beecher City, 25-11, 25-14. Patoka won over Beecher City, 25-10, 16-25, 15-12 and Christ Our Rock Lutheran downed Brownstown, 25-14, 25-12.

Tonight's games feature Cowden-Herrick against Ramsey at 5 p.m., Mulberry Grove meeting St. Elmo at 6 p.m., Ramsey going against Mulberry Grove at 7 p.m. and St. Elmo taking on Cowden-Herrick at 8 p.m.

The tournament continues Thursday and will finish out with the finals Friday.
